Heka Leka Library – Tetha Creusa

On Heka Leka’s 4th anniversary, we present the “Heka Leka Library – Tetha Creusa” as one of the public libraries in Ambon City to support the Maluku Reading Movement and the learning process for the young generation of Maluku in Ambon City.

We named the Heka Leka Library after Tetha Creusa, named after a prominent Maluku woman who was also a researcher and marine specialist in Indonesia. The late Tetha Creusa passed away in December 2013 due to cancer. During her life, Tetha Creusa made numerous contributions to the Indonesian marine world, and indeed to the world at large. Nicknamed “Mama Penyu” by her colleagues, she was known as a Maluku woman with great integrity in her work. Her characteristic behind-the-scenes work, away from media exposure, further inspired many.

For Heka Leka, Tetha Creusa is a motivator and inspirational figure who has been with Heka Leka since the movement’s inception. His thoughts and lifestyle, which prioritize solutions and creative work, have motivated Heka Leka to continue moving forward and contributing to Maluku.

Hopefully, the Heka Leka Library can make many positive contributions to many people. Currently, the Heka Leka Library has a collection of 779 books across various categories.

Come on, let’s read!!

Reading Makes Maluku Smarter!

Greetings, Smart Maluku.
