Preschool Teachers Workshop is an initiative which has empowered over 40 preschool teachers in Maluku to design and develop safe, exciting learning environments for children by utilizing natural resources and recycling waste.
The teachers attend a 2-day workshop during which they explore play-based learning techniques to educate children about the effects of climate change. The teachers also learn simple actions they can take to ensure eco-friendly practices are maintained within the school. For example, creative techniques for turning natural resources or recycled waste into school resources rather than buying new.
By unleashing the creativity of teachers, the project has been successful in supporting teachers to develop new ways of educating and engaging children in climate solutions. Fantastic work! #TheClimateConnection British Council Indonesia
